For what it's worth, I reshafted my 975D with an MFS 65N R-1 Index. Head weight of the 975D is 907-grams and with a 1-1/2-in shaft insertion depth the untrimmed shaft "freq'd out" at 239-CPM (5-in butt clamp, no grip).
