Bernie,
I called tour golf today and they informed me that they do carry the SWB99 310cc in a 14* and a 15*. I went ahead and ordered the 13* and 15* heads. I'll keep you informed on how she did but it won't be till after Labor Day weekend, she lives about 85 miles away from my shop.
Thanks' Pat

Pat,

At 47" club length with a light shaft, it's high for me and not bad for the slow swinging ladies. But, if you shorten the club and use a heavier shaft, you can expect it to come down a bit.

Pat,

Women have never has been my specialty, but I keep getting calls from senior women who played a friend's club and "had to have one like it." And, I get a few who just want me to get them some more distance. Here're some of my experiences:

My senior ladies seem to like the Chicago 966SD (9.5° to 13°, depending on need for trajectory) with a 58 gram Graman TP440 (A or L) and Winn grip at 45"-46" club length best of all. I use a 195 gram head if Jeff has any in stock (he usually does). Swingweight is C9 to low Ds (depending on shaft and grip), total weight just under 300 grams. Another good head for the slow swinging ladies is Tour Golf's SWB99 (310cc) at about 191-193 grams. The now discontinued, semi-shallow face Cydonia LCGs have been the favorite women's fairway woods (and senior mens' favorite, too). I used the 15° for several beginner ladies' "drivers" at 43"-44" club length with good success. A lady pro instructor told one of them that it was the best hitting beginner "driver" she had ever seen.

The smoother swingers seem to have no problem with longer clubs, unsmooth swingers do better with 43"-45" lengths. I have several slow swingers that really like 47" drivers (with 191 gram SWB99 and 53 gram shaft for D2.5 swingweight) and are quite consistent with them...one lady is only 5' 2" tall. Low total weight seems to be more important for a slow-swinging lady's club than any other spec, probably because it's easier for them to swing the light club faster with control, so use the lightest comfortable grip you can.

I'm looking for a good combo for a women to use off the tee with. Her swing speed is 62mph, smooth tempo, and plays twice a week. I was thinking of using a "L" SK Fiber PE shaft and possibly a deep face 300cc, 15* head. Is there such a monster?  Not many women come thru my shop. Bernie, is this your specialty? All suggestions are greatly appreciated. TIA
