Case in point this morning...
I play Hominy Hill all the time. Robert Trent Jones Sr course, fairly long
and well-bunkered. My index is [was, don't know yet what this will do to it]
15.5, and course handicap at Hominy of 17. My career bests for the course
are 83, 84, and a pair of 85s. This morning's round was relaxed, with guys I
enjoy, cool weather for a change, and the course was moving right along. I
just took a shot at a time, recorded each hole on the card and forgot about
it. Added them up at the end. Didn't believe it. Added them again. Pair of
39s (never broke 40 for 9 at Hominy before) for a 78 (my first time under 80
since I was twenty years old). That's a net 61.
Completely honest.
And I'm entering the score, so there goes my index. :-)
Cheers!

Hi Dave, Way to go.
There's nothing like a pair of 39's on or off the course.
