Three are coming to mind, but I'm not sure if they fit the bill for you:

The Golf Doctor in Parsippany, NJ
R&R Golf in Union
Bob's GolfWerks in Newton (this one's an even longer hike from Elmwood Park
compared to the other two).

I *do* recall a place in Paterson, just off either 80, 4, 46, or maybe 17 and
21.  I recall it because I went there to have my 3-Wood regripped (I wound up
with a Velvet Victory full-cord).  I can't remember the name, but I remember
driving around in a few circles to find it.
