Spring pullers are crap. Get a screw drive puller - or more accurately, a
screw drive "pusher."

RK makes one that weighs about 20 pounds. You can make one easily. There are
plans for a home made pusher on Clubmaker-Online. There are others. You'll
save enough in undamaged heads and shafts to pay for it in a hurry.
