I have talked to a couple mfg.(sheet wrap) and the say it is due to the process and the epoxy needed to bond the rein strands. What is your feeling on the matter?

Being in the sales and marketing field all my life I would only say that there is only one hard and fast rule, don't knock the competing product only speak of your product's merits! Besides a well made filament wound shaft with a clear coat finish sure does look jazzy!  Just look at all those neat "dovetail" type winding patterns, and just think of how many miles of strands went into the construction of this beauty!  Anyone can make good , bad or cheap! The question is "does it do the job" and at what cost? This is called "value". Of course today you could sell any shaft if the color is gaudy enough to be recognized in the hands of a tour winning pro.

I have a friend that thought he could get rich with a Yugo Dealership. That lucky s.o.b. lost out on getting the franchise.
