That reminds me of a guy I played golf with. On a
par 3 hole he spends a long time looking for a
broken tee to use. After some time looking I toss
him a new tee. Here, I said, if you break this
one I'll reshaft it for you! 

Never batted an eye, used that one and away he
went.   Not in my group again;-).
