Sam,

Couple of suggestions...there are a lot of good heads for the ladies out
there.

A really safe head for the ladies is the stainless Chicago 966SD 250cc with
a tumbled finish and tough clear coat. Good quality head, though not a
"modern" looking as some. Choose your lofts from 8 to 13 in a driver, and
Jeff also has the matching 3W, 5W and 7W. This is my senior ladies favorite
with a Graman TP440 A or L-flex and Winn grip. Long, high and very easy to
hit. Swingweights about D2 to D4 at 46" clublength, total weight in the
290s. These ladies don't get enough swing speed to even bother with a Ti
high COR head, and the 966SD is almost as long anyway. For even lighter
ladies clubs, I've used a Tour Golf SWB99 at 191 grams (light weight is the
advantage of this Ti head) with a 56 gram (or less if you go with Tour
Golf's TSEL) Graman shaft and a Winn, or Karakal grip. Swingweight is about
D2-D4 and total weight in the 280s. I try and match the swingweight to the
lady's ability to handle it, and often have to move either length or
headweight down to get in the high C-range. Determine lofts by watching the
lady swing and see what you think she needs. The Chicago heads hit high for
their loft, so my stronger ladies are playing the 8, mid-strength players
the 11 and low hitters, the 13. All lofts all play well.
