The difference I see from the accomplished player as opposed to your average to high handicapper is there is no pulling down of the shaft at all. With the swing in proper sequence the hands drop naturally as a result of proper weight shift and rotation of the body to the target. If you look at the videos you will see that the better ball stikers do not change the angle set at the top of the back swing until they have rotated back to their original position with hips clearing and the right shoulder passing the left. That triangle is maintained from the top through impact to a balanced finish. Just my observations.
