You know, I get a real sense of pride and affection from you folks back east, in spite of the cold. I encourage all of you to stay where you are and have pity on those of us who have to live in California, too dumb to move away. If I want cold and snow I have to drive several hours to get there. A real bummer. You are better off where you are. I had to play golf in 65* weather today. I miss the days when I lived in Albuquerque and played when it was 20*. Ahh, the sound of the crack of the ball off of the face of the driver on a really brisk day. Sniff, sniff. I'll be all right when this nostalgia passes.

TFlan,

Well, there are a lot less crowded conditions here than in your flake-state,
but I don't know one in 10 people who live here that were born here. Tellico
Village is half Michiganders who came down I-75 because they couldn't stand
the cold, yet wanted a little cold now and then to remind them how nasty it
was up there. You must be confusing Tennessee with Alabama.
