Is 250 deg. F the point that the epoxy breaks down, the head
won't "burn" and the shaft won't melt? The meltdown point
seems to be pretty close as it seems all hell breaks loose (with the
head and shaft) very quickly.
Sounds like a great product, don't be shocked if it shows up at
my catalog (along with the Arnie Power Puller).
I'm hoping to offer a choice between RK's manual shaft remover
and add Arnie's hydraulic one so Shoptalkers have a choice between two
excellent units at two distinct price points.

I would like to share this will all.
The product is called a "Tempilstik" 250 Degree F Have been using it for over 50 head pullings with fantastic success. Simply heat the hosel in normal manner, touch the Tempilstik to the hosel, if it melts, set down heat source and PULL.. It indicates that the right temperature has been reached. NO OVERHEATING and NO UNDERHEATING. Cost approx $10 at any welding supply distributor. Lasts for years in our type of use!
