As a new entry into the world of clubmaking I am a bit bedazzled by the
number of component suppliers I am finding in my search for vendors. As
with any list of everyone has a favorite or group of favorites they
depend on as a resource of both information and product. I have seen a
number of different vendor names kicked back and forth during my short
membership on both ShopTalk and SpinetalkersForum (Note: So far I have
found both to be very instructive and informative, especially to a new
comer.).

Well the catalogs have started arriving and brand names are many but
knowing what is the right names is the hard part without trying to
invent the wheel again. Of course here in Texas we have the GolfSmith
stores and Golf Etc., both handling the same products. Then I get my
Dynacraft catalog and there is more to choose from and then someone
gives me a flyer from a company where some of my clubs originated and
again the numbers pile up. Just how many different versions of 10.5
(example) drivers are there?

I am not expecting anyone to endorse any particular vendor. What I am
asking is what do I look for in a supplier to make sure I am receiving a
quality product that is going to do what it is advertised to do?

Any suggestions?

Thanks to all and I appreciate being allowed to tag along on your coat
tails.
