I agree Jen;
The wording is so similar to the
many KLEZ virus things I get everyday that it is scary! That's what promoted my
questions! I also got it three times! Anyone ever seen a post from this person
before?

I think RSkirvin has a parasite or virus that sent that
out. I mean, did it not strike anyone else as odd the subject line and
wording of the email? It wasn't "typical" of what someone on the group
would send out even if they were sending out a tip the group (it seems a bit
uncharacteristic not even to include his name in the sig line). Plus I
received it 3 times... not sure if I was the only
one.

Has anyone read the fine print on the license agreement for the "Free"
download?
READ THIS CAREFULLY AS I AM NOT SAYING THAT THIS PROGRAM HAS A PARASITE
ATTACHED! My concerns on "freebies" results from a bout I had with a
"freebie" that attached a parasite program to it that took over my home
page, downloaded folders to my favorites, ( that included gambling and porno
sites with dial ups that automatically try to dial 900 numbers!) It took me
almost 14 hours to clean my computer of all the remnants of this thing!
It kept downloading stuff until it almost filled up my hard drive! I believe
the name was Xtuper or close to that spelling. A virus is bad enough but
this thing was a different animal all together. It is NOT a virus so your
virus protection has no effect on it. You, inadvertently ok it's
installment, when you agree to the license agreement!
READ THE FINE PRINT! So many times we take for granted that an
application is safe, and don't bother to read all of the license agreement.
( I have been very guilty of this in the past!) After all, you can't get the
download if you don't sign the agreement! So we just click on it! BE
CAREFUL! A PARASITE CAN BE NASTY!
Hope this helps! Ed J.

Do you hate POPUPS ?? well i just installed this free Zero POPUP toolbar
on my browser, it kills ALL popup ads and best of all it's FREE !
Download it from here http://www.zeropopup.com (its a 10 seconds download
with a 56k modem)
As far as I can tell from the descriptions on the zeropopup and CNET web
sites, it doesn't work with all browsers, just IE. Those of us using
Netscape, Mozilla, or other browsers can't use it. It's a shame too,
because I need it for Netscape, but I run IE in a pretty restricted mode
that doesn't allow popups anyway.
