Rich,
That
makes sense. I was referring to the blades. The ProCombos to have a
propriatary (sp) True Temper stick in them that was designed with variable bend
points and lighter weight.

Subject: Re: ShopTalk: Shafts in new Nikes?
Interesting. The set here in my shop with factory Nike 'stiff' shaftbands have taper DG S400s based on the true temper markings under the grips. I know the Nike website listed DG S400 as well when the irons were first released. Maybe they changed shaft type at one point.....
I had Forged Pro Combo Irons set #C000007153 in my shop. This was the progressive head set and not the blades. The blades could have a different shaft. The set I had came with a True Temper style stencil under the grip that read "10 NSLIS-HS". Definitely a taper tip but step pattern much closer to, but not identical to, the DG Lite. I have both DG's & DG Lite's in stock and other's too. The shafts in the Nike's were a little stiffer than some of the DG Lite stiffs I have made. I thought at the time that I was working on the Nike's that maybe the DG Lite X flex would work as a good replacement for the Nike stiff.
