Dropping prices combined with falling sales volume pushed sales of
gloves and bags down as well, with January glove sales dropping 6.3
percent to $6.4 million compared with 2002. Volume was down 3.6 percent to
43,840 dozens, while the price per glove fell 2.8 percent to $12.11.
  Sales for bags for the month also fell 6.4 percent to $7.3 million on a
unit decrease of 0.9 percent to 63,900. The average price paid per bag
also dropped, 5.6 percent, to $113.86.
