Last week I saw a guy (a very nice person) on the putting green with the new Titleist Futura putter (Michelson & Hoch's "space ship on a stick").
He paid $350 for it! He was putting terribly and a big tournament was coming up. (I hit the thing a few times. Felt nice, much lighter than expected. Club seemed to pull itself through the stroke).
I saw him today, with his old Ping putter, trying to putt left hand low. I quizzed him about the Futura. In the last round of the tournament he took 41 putts! And this is guy with a 3 index.
He was very candid and blamed himself. What was bizarre is that there was NO honeymoon period with the Futura. My clubs usually turn on me AFTER the VISA card bill is paid.
