Played the first round of the year with a new driver with a GS TI-310 head and the
NitroFlex Lite R flex shaft. I cut 1" from the
butt to make a 46.6" club. I left the extra 0.6" on the butt to accommodate an SRV II
head so that such a club will be 46". The
TI-310 head has a 1.6" shaft tip to ground distance while the SRV II is only 1".

I gripped the club down about a half inch and started out. First five drives were
right, with a bit of fade on a couple of them. All
were in the 190 to 220 yards. Not good so decided I must be babying the thing because
of the low 224 cpm at 46" club length. Started
swinging harder and was really surprised when everything straightened out and I
started hitting and straight. On all four par fives
which vary from 470 to 513 yards I was just off the greens in two. :-))) Chipping and
putting were bad but I was very happy with
86. Was hitting approaches and chipping with a 46 degree wood. Pretty bad so it goes
in the reject box. Greens are still really
uneven and varying from slow to fast every few feet, but the grass is starting to
green up and be fine by next week.

Also will be trying the Jackaroo II and their new mallet head putter with three lines
on the top.

Some numbers on the NitroFlex lite:
With 41 inches sticking out of the clamp, but no tip weight at all frequency = 951
cpm.

All the following were with 5" butt clamped, 205 gram tip weight with CG of weight
centered on the shaft tip.
Less than 1 cpm of difference in frequency as I rotated the shaft.
With 41 inches sticking out of the clamp, frequency = 224 cpm.
With 40 inches sticking out of the clamp, frequency = 231 cpm.
With 39 inches sticking out of the clamp, frequency = 238 cpm.
With 38 inches sticking out of the clamp, frequency = 246 cpm.
