This year my short game disappeared, lost so much confidence
that I started to yip chips.

After months of searching for what was going wrong, the cause
was discovered by my neighbor who sometimes practices with me.

He noticed that my right hand was tensing up as I approached
the ball on my downswing. This screwed up the timing, sometimes
it would just send the club straight into the ground behind
the ball.

Took the tension out of the right hand and MAGIC! the short
game was back.

Thought I'd share the simple, but subtle, tip as chipping has
been driving me nuts for several months.
