Good idea! I also paint the "6" on my 6 iron green, for "go", and the "9" red, for "stop". Do the same for 52 degree (green) and 56 degree (red) wedges.

I use a deep red color on the "9" of the 9 irons I build. Customers really like it because they don't mixup the 6 with the 9!
