Have any of you ever played the "Tiger tees" at The International in Bolton, Mass? The October Golf Digest has an article featuring long drive contestants playing it. Pretty bizarre.
It is a 8,325 yard par 73 at a 1,000 foot altitude! The par 3s are 180 (which I can handle), 277, 250, and 270! There is a 715 yard par 6, and 674, 590, and 656 par 5s. The longest par 4 is 567 yards, shortest is 405.
The course rating and slope are 80/154. Par was changed from 77 early this year to 73. The lowest score from tips has been a 73.

I sure don't see the fun in playing something like this, even if you are a VERY good golfer.
FWIW - the long drives guys hit 3 iron on the 277 yard par 3, Driver, 7 iron on the 567 par four. One of them drove a 412 yard par 4.
