Sorry I wasn't more detailed.  I said put the shaft in the puller "as if being pulled".  I should have said, clamp the shaft in the same place you would if you had a head on it and were pulling it.  How long is the tip section on the Fuji?

I know I'm not going to smash the tip end, it's the area about 4" to 6" up that I worry about. That's roughly 1 1/2" of tip in the hosel + the 2" PVC sleeve above the hosel + the 3" section that being clamped. Am I still safe?

Pat,
Take an old take out or cut off shaft (tip end) and put it in your puller as if being pulled.  Now crank down on it.  No harder.  Noooo I mean real hard!  Let me know if you crushed the shaft.

$10 to pull and save the shaft? I just finished pulling the head and I have to tell you that ranks up there with the 975's as one of the most difficult heads to pull. I am still having problems with the shaft slipping through the rubber clamp on Kennedy's puller. I guess I just don't have enough confidence to apply the pressure needed without the fear of smashing the shaft. $110 sounds reasonable enough. Thanks for your quick responses.

I have a customer that wants his GBB II reshafted with a Vista Pro 60 shaft, could someone give me some kind of indication of the going rate for a reshaft with this shaft? This will be my first reshaft of the GBB II and my first experience with any Fujikura shaft. TIA

Hi Pat,
I charge $10.00 for the pull, $70.00 for the shaft, $19.00 on the build including spineing and flowing, and $10.00 on the bore thru, so that's $109.00, if they just want it stuck with the logo up or down without spineing and flowing the build is $9.00 instead of $19.00.
