ED:
Thanks for the kind words about the book. There is an old adage in
business that says "he who pays for the printing owns the copyright", so
that tells you the outcome of that story!! While I am sure that
everything has a price, in this case there are so many things that have
changed in fitting since I wrote the book in 1997 that need to be
updated. As a result, I do plan to do a new fitting book and I am
seriously hoping that I can carve out the time to start it this winter
and hopefully get it done sometime in the coming golf season. But I'll
just have to see because in the new company, I am wearing a few more
hats these days too!! But I do want to do that because I want to be up
to date with everything what with all of the more recent realizations of
what works and what doesn't in terms of clubs and golfers.

Thanks again,
TOM

Subject: Re: ShopTalk: WHERE IS TOM WISHON??? - Now Practical
Clubfitting

Some bad news. Golfsmith no longer sells Tom's excellent
Practical Clubfitting book. It is not listed in their catalogs
and they have no old stock remaining.

The guy I spoke to had not heard anything regarding its future
or any replacement.

I don't know if Tom is still following this thread, but I'd
hope that somehow he acquires the rights and republishes it,
perhaps with some updates.

It is a valuable resource that will be missed.
