My question would be "Why consider it?".

For the same price as this gizmo, after shipping, you can buy an Ohaus
Triple Beam.  I picked mine up at a pawn shop for $45.  It's the drug
dealers favorite tool and their loved ones normally pawn them after they go
to the slammer.

I wouldn't put my money or faith in an electronic scale.
