What I mean is that since a fat shaft is a three piece affair,
shaft+"connector"or reducer to transit from a fat shaft to a hosel and a plastic "washer" that fits between shaft and top of hosel which I referred to as a"ferrule"and what I meant by acceptable is that I have not found anything that serves as this "washer" or "ferrule".
Aah, now I understand. I bought a piece of plastic tube and I slice off these "washer" ferrulles as I need them. I don't know the type of plastic. I took a ferrule to a plastic supply house and told them what I wanted sizewise and told them that it had to "melt" when acetone was applied to it. They asked me how many feet I needed and I replied,"about one or two feet", the guy goes into the warehouse and comes back with a piece about 20" long, tells me "no charge, it's a sample".
I've never seen a commercially made "ferrule" for the damned Wilson Fat Shafts! The plastic tube works great, just a PITA to cut each ferrule by hand. I mark the length and "roll the plastic tube under the sharp edge of a utility knife".
