Yeah, I've been using twist-ties a long time for
shims, along with heavy fishing line, stranded wire, drywall mesh tape, and
fiberglass window screen, among many others. The epoxy, the hosel, and the shaft
tip don't care as long as they're snug and comfortable . . . but I personalize
too much ;-)
