Anyone interested in trying to put together a Shoptalk/Spinetalk Open golf event in the Midwest this year (or next year)? I know that there are several members of these forums that are from the Illinois/Indiana/Michigan/Ohio areas, and thought maybe we could try to get together for a weekend of golf sometime.
I annually travel to several RSG events. (That's rec.sport.golf, the golf newsgroup on the Internet.) Every September, there is an RSG-Ohio in Columbus. I expect to be there this year -- as most years in recent memory. It is Fri-Sun, Sept 10-12. You can see the details at

It's a neat event with inexpensive golf at good courses. (We're playing a couple of rounds at Foxfire.) I am sure that Thor would not mind making it a joint event with those from ShopTalk and Spinetalk that wish to be there -- as long as he knows in time.
I don't think I'd travel to the midwest for golf again this year; I've already done a similar event at Pittsburgh in April.
