When I first installed SP2 all seem normal, no lost programs, no program problems.  I have my computer setup to receive automatic updates of several programs but when I tried to download programs off the net I found that I could not plus my normal updates were missing too.  Not having seen any real reason to have SP2 as it was more of a security issue than anything else I dumped it and all returned to normal.  At first I thought the problem was due to the firewall in SP2 but even after disabling it the problem existed. I have Nortons installed and so far it has caught all of the current viruses floating around. Tom M. Mark A Patton wrote: FR??
