I've been playing both the Aldila NVS and the Fuji Tour Release (now called Tour Platform) for a while now. I really like the feel and performance of the NVS. Those of you that have tried the NV and had a tough time hitting it might look at the NVS, supposed to do that high launch, low spin thingy, too. I stuck it in an Alpha V2-425 head and that combination seems to work for me. That amber color is cool, too. I haven't found the right combination for the Fuji yet. I've got an X that I tried and is too stiff for me and I'm too cheap to try the S that is sitting in my office staring at me as I've spent about $10,000,000 trying different shafts this year. Please tell me that the Fuji is only a teeny, tiny bit better than the Aldila NVS so I can sleep tonight.

FWIW, I tried out a lot of the new shafts and the Aldila NVS and the new blue Pro Launch were quite nice. However, I found the sweetest shaft yet. It is a new (more or less) Fuji shaft called the Tour Platform. I understand they had been using it on someone's tour last year. They claim it will give you a bit more launch angle and less spin (the latest trend in fitting for distance) and it seemed to do just that. I was hitting the stiff with my head speed being around 100mph and the rep put me into an R. I could see the difference in launch angle right away and picked up a few yards. In any case, a really nice shaft. I was using a G/S 600T, 11.5* head, which is another sweet piece of equipment. Rain and wind today, snow probably tomorrow. See you in the spring.
