Been at the show, and it's been OK. For what a clubmaker would be interested in, the number of items present is on a decline (would presume most are migrating to the PCS show).
The people I met were great as normal. Some interesting items: Infiniti has some new Ti heads worth looking at. They have a new process that allows for them to save some weight in the welds, allowing them to place it elsewhere. Also their AW wedge (a very nice design) is now avaialable in a gun metal finish. The Heavy Putter is heavy. I liked it quite a bit, and their booth was drawing a good crowd. (Go Charlie!) Didn't have a chance to hit it, but Accuflex's Evolution (nano shaft) had a very nice paint job for what its worth. (They didn't have a booth, but did have a room offsite.) SMT had their iron heads on hand. Clean looking design. Bang had the Bangster. Looked like a different sized version of the BOMs at 430CC (BOMs are 401 and 460 currently). Saw a few takes on TM style weight ported driver heads. I didn't get too excited about them. Word of the year? Composites for shafts are in short supply. Dud item of the year? Callaway has the ugliest iron head possible. Sure they will sell a bunch of them. Mark A Patton [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
