I was blowing on some Winn
grips last night and had some difficulty getting them to go on compared to
other grips.
Dip the mouth into about one quarter inch of Varasol (Mineral Spirits) start the grip onto the shaft butt by hand then blow it on the rest of the way. Guide the grip on from the mouth end, don't try to push it!
Winn grips are a little smaller I.D. I think .595" so if the shaft is .600 they are a little difficult BUT THE COMPRESSED AIR INSTALLATION SOLVES THAT!
Pull the air gun nozzle out of the grip when it is on all the way while holding it down the shaft at the mouth. If you just take your finger off the blowgun trigger with the nozzle in the grip vent hole the grip may move off the butt! Or if you keep giving it air without holding it down the shaft at the mouth it will blow right off the shaft!
