No, I only use it for graphite.  The blade is a diamond tile blade and I don’t think it would last long on steel.  I’ll try it just to see.

I use the most "powerful" shop vac I could find with a long "orange" colored "hose" going to six different tools from a central location and one of them comes off a smaller hose with adapters-gotta be creative, but I no longer have graphite dust over everything in my shop.
