Dave, isn't the half cpm slope reduction a reflection of the 3/8-inch length increments you get with standard head weights and MOI matching instead of 1/2-inch length increments with swingweight matching? I believe Tom Wishon's system adds weight to the shorter (than the 'favorite') clubs to preserve the 1/2-inch increments, in which case wouldn't the cpm slope not be changed?
Either approach will change the slope as I noted. Heavier heads reduce frequency just as surely as shorter length. And, in this case, by just about the same amount.
Changing the tip trim will restore the slope.
