Oh, BTW; forgot to mention that the 276 cpm "R" was a Grafalloy Blue.
I used to have a Titleist 975D a few years ago; I stuck a Blue R flex in
it. Played like an X!

A customer was having problems getting the ball in the air with his
TM Quad, 9.5 deg. I measured the freq. of the supposed "R"shaft; 276
cpm! The shaft was an original and near as I can tell, It wasn't
tipped - it's still 44" long.
Letter designations for flex, as I've said for years, are crap! I
have a TM "S" from a 460 cc that freqs at 254 cpm. By most measures
thats "soft S" or "strong R". I have dozens of Callaway pullouts
of all flexes and they're mostly all softer than one would expect.
So I guess my point is; don't rely on letter designations on OEM
stuff. They're meaningless.
Just my opinion . . . I could be wrong - but I don't think so.
