Darcy,
As Arnie said, use a propane torch. They shouldn't be but check to see if they are pinned. This was common in the early days. For steel shafts I prefer to clamp in a vise and twist off. Be careful, the heads will be hot.

I have a set of my buddies 20 year old Titleist irons that he would like
to re-shaft. I put them in my shaft puller and heated them up with my heat
gun and they won't budge. Any suggestions on how I can remove them??
Thanks
Darcy
