I have a small (14" tall") pressed steel "Kokopelli" wall hanging.
That's the Hopi (I hope) god of fertility. It's pretty cool. I wanted a
bigger one. So . . .
I took my little figure to the workshop and shoved all the golf stuff
aside. I clamped the little guy onto a Bogen photographic tripod ( I
once was heavily into B & W photography . . . a bunch of money to Ansel
Adams schools helped very little. But I digress).
I set the tripod/figure in a dark area of the workspace, attached a
piece of cardboard to the wall and tried a few light sources against the
figure to cast a traceable shadow. A small "Maglite" worked. So, I
stacked 2-36" tall stools, seat to seat and clamped the Maglite to a
rung. Moved the stool back and forth until I got a traceable shadow . .
. about 7'.
Traced that indian out on to the cardboard, cut it out with a box
cutter, and traced that off onto a sheet of 1/2" plywood. Jigsawed it
out, sanded it, painted it, and hung it over our bed.
No luck.
Gods of fertility need more than a damn figurine.
