Yes, sad but true.
The PCS was simply not able to recover from the financial problems that
started with theft by an employee, and continued with mismanagement of
funds and apparent lack of oversight by the Board.
The last straw was the lack of 2008 member renewals - falling short of
the numbers needed to continue to operate and pay down the significant
debt.
The property is being liquidated, and the name and IP will be sold off
as well as part of either bankruptcy or closure proceedings - however
it ends up.
The PCS may be reborn under new ownership depending on who purchases
the name and IP - so we may see something emerge from the ashes -
however the PCS as we knew it is certainly gone now.
Very sad.
