Hi John BillyBob's have a great Callaway 335 factory style ferrule adapter for this job. 335 is a good shaft for golfers with high swingspeeds - his problem is not the shaft. I agree with Robert, he is probably hitting the club near the heel. Get him to try some impact tape to see where on the face he is contacting it.
