If you've done a late model Taylor Made, it's virtually the same hosel. The G10 has a .350 hosel with a step at the top that is ~.400. Suppliers sell a stepped ferrule for it if you want to be good about it. Or you can use a collared ferrule which will center nicely in there, and if you want, wrap a little masking tape to fill in the rest of the gap in the .400 step area.
I'm sure many of them have been reshafted with just a plain ferrule. Although I'd think some tape buildup in the stepped area would be a good thing. -Don M --- On Mon, 1/4/10, Bob Barrette <[email protected]> wrote: > From: Bob Barrette <[email protected]> > Subject: ShopTalk: Ping G10 Driver > To: "shop talk shop" <[email protected]> > Date: Monday, January 4, 2010, 7:00 PM > > Hi All: > > I have a customer that wants me to remove the existing > shaft on his G10 Driver, and put in a softer shaft, being as > I am retired, I am not up to date on that driver.
