I have done a lot of testing for Loomis and use the shafts a lot. It is a
good feeling shaft at about 72 grams. The balance point is higher than most so
making shorter drivers with more head weight no problem. I have most of my
college players and pros playing it. It produces a much flatter trajectory once
it reaches its apex. I have one of my players who took off about 400 rpms as he
has a steep angle of attack and the dispersion was about 20 per cent better
than the Matore I had them in. You have to play around with the tip for
different golfers, stronger loading golfers need at least an inch of tipping. I
had Jeff Meyer who is one of the owners and engineer build some long drive
shafts and my long drive guys love them. By the way way I buy them in Charcoal
Grey .Hope this helps

Subject: ShopTalk: Loomis Collegiate Shafts

Has anyone gotten a chance to hit one of those Loomis Collegiate
Shafts yet? I'm not sure I'd be able to game one based on the
ridicule that I may receive, but I'm curious to know how the
performance is anyways...

Thanks,
Steve
