Hi Bob,

To answer your question, you need to have the Pacemaker on the right side if you are a right handed golfer, because if it is on the left side you'll be hurt each time you rise your left arm on your chest during the backswing, and down during the downswing.

My Dad has a Pacemaker since something like 15 years. He's playing golf 3 to 4 times a week. At 69 he's got a 85 Mph clubhead speed with his driver, and still is playing well.

A few years ago, we had to change his shafts because when he was swinging a bit too hard he felt the pacemaker irritate his right pectoral. So now he's playing senior flex shafts, and is very happy : no more pain ...

Take care

Matt

Hi Guys:
I have been wearing an Event Monitor because I have had a few dizzy spells, I had one on the golf course on Sunday. I just got a call from my Cardiologist and he wants to see me on Monday. The last time I saw him he thought I might need a Pacemaker. I have a golfer friend that had one installed about 5 years ago, and he told me they had installed it on the wrong side for a golfer. It bothered him quite a bit when he played golf. He has since moved away and changed his phone # so I have lost touch with him. Do any of you have a pacemaker and if your a right handed golfer which side should it be on?
Thanks,
Bob
