Pretty easy to find out if it makes a difference whatsoever. Find the COG and 
then add 4 grams inside the hosel. If it falls off or won’t stay balanced then

Here’s a snippet from Golf Digest’s article about Ron Pampling’s clubs this 
past weekend.   

"Interestingly, according to Srixon, they almost never use hosel plugs in 
builds as it can throw off the center of gravity location and the balance of 
the clubface. If clubs need additional weight they will normally use a heavier 
weight clubhead and lead tape to achieve it.”


I find it hard to believe that 4g in the tip of the shaft would throw off 
balance and gravity to the extent that it would be worrisome.  What do you all 
think?
