When sending me patches, please make sure that they apply to a recent Git tree (Shorewall 4.4) or SVN tree (other versions). The Git and SVN file trees have an organization that is different from what you find in the tarballs. So a patch against the tarball contents often won't apply at all to the Git/SVN image.
