My bad: even that rpm did not install the ifup-local / ifdown-local
scripts. I must have messed that up already with the epel (=fedora)
packages on the original install. I now copied the new versions and the
network restart works (but apparently still does not reset the firewall
as a shorewall restart fixes it again, but that is for tomorrow).
