Shorewall doesn't. However, check your ppp settings, it may force the default route. You can of course turn that off.

Any > thoughts ? > Thx As of now, I think you should forget about trying to get ppp0 working, and just try to ssh into the box. a) Please try the www.shorewall.net/troubleshoot.htm instructions and send a dump according to that. b) Describe when you can, and when you can't ssh into the box. Do you get locked out of the ssh session when ppp comes up?
