Hi, may be a simple question, but proxy arp works for systems connected to the same switch, or?
So if I do have a system behind a router behind a shorewall, and I want to ridirect requests to that system from the Internet, I should set up a virtual external nic e.g. eth0:1 and give this a external public IP and than redirect with the needed rule the connections to the internal system. Or is there a other/better solution and I'm wrong at all? Thanks for pushing me into the right direction!
