It is documented: a) All of the examples at http://www.shorewall.net/PPTP.htm show an address in the GATEWAY column. b) The shorewall-tunnels(5) man page does not describe the GATEWAY column as being optional. Unfortunately, example 6 at the bottom of that man page omits the GATEWAY column. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I've corrected the man page.
