My first shorewall perl upgrade has failed. I installed
the orginal with the perl version and common only
(no shell) when it was first installed months ago.
When I attempted to upgrade I have many warnings
like this:
file /etc/shorewall/Makefile from install of shorewall-4.0.6-1
conflicts with file from package shorewall-common-4.0.2-1
file /etc/shorewall/ecn from install of shorewall-4.0.6-1
conflicts with file from package shorewall-common-4.0.2-1
file /etc/shorewall/hosts from install of shorewall-4.0.6-1
conflicts with file from package shorewall-common-4.0.2-1
file /etc/shorewall/interfaces from install of shorewall-4.0.6-1
conflicts with file from package shorewall-common-4.0.2-1
file /etc/shorewall/masq from install of shorewall-4.0.6-1
conflicts with file from package shorewall-common-4.0.2-1
-----------this list is much longer------

Suse 10.2 and shorewall-perl 4.0.2-1 are currently running on the box.
the command I used below
ns2:/home/mike # rpm --nodeps -Uvh shorewall-perl-4.0.6-1.noarch.rpm
shorewall-4.0.6-1.noarch.rpm
I tryed the i option instead of U as well no joy :(

Thanks
Mike
