Not really, it's an easy mistake to make when 
setting up things like this - trying to remember 
where you put the local (private) address and 
where to put the public address. I've done it 
myself - and as you say, you feel so stupid when 
you finally realise :-(

You're not the first, and I doubt if you'll be the last !
