Low priority, just an idea for future revisions... Checking for valid [GU]IDs in the user/group column during "shorewall check" would be great. I just knocked a server offline with a "shorewall check && shorewall restart" cause it didn't catch that. Woops!
If I get some free cycles before anyone gets a chance, I'll look into implementing it myself and send a patch. Thanks, -Brad
