I personally don't experience any issue using Mandriva since 2006. My
system does live in cooker distro and thus I'm aware of most significant
changes which concern the distro and shorewall as well, and that
happened only once when shorewall didn't work. That issue has been fixed
and rather was related to kernel and iptables. I maintain all settings
and rules manually and will suggest to not use Drake's wizards to avoid
problem

iptables 1.4.4, shorewall 4.4.0, kernel 2.6.30.2-desktop-1mnb (also no
problems with 2.6.31.rcX)
